Premises
As the application of the Bluetooth
standard differs considerably from one
mobile phone model to another and
can also vary over the course of the
product lifecycle of the model, functions
may be impaired inside the vehicle, and
the BMW Group cannot accept
responsibility for this.
Please note that the information on
compatibility always refers to a
specific software status for a mobile
phone.
In addition to the mobile phone
software status, compatibility may also
be influenced by the following factors:
Hardware version of the mobile
phone
Mobile phone configuration (e.g.
size of contacts database, energy-
saving mode, …)
Operating status of the mobile
phone (e.g. battery charge, length of
operation, degree of usage, …)
Network and SIM card
For this reason, sporadic impairment
of functions cannot be ruled out,
even in the case of mobile phones
which otherwise function reliably.
Where the software status of a mobile
phone model was known to be
incompatible at the time of creation of
this document, this is indicated in the
column "Mobile phone model“ with this
symbol .

properly with the BMW preparation
for mobile phone with Bluetooth
interface, it could be because the
software status of your mobile phone
is incompatible.

New software for your mobile phone
can be obtained from the manufacturer
or your service provider. In the case of
some models, you can update the soft-
ware yourself via the Internet.
